Directions to the Fitch Hill Inn

For guests travelling from New York state, please be aware that the Chimney Point Bridge on VT Rte 17 is closed.
A free ferry is in operation while the bridge is being replaced, departing every half hour (at :15 and :45 from NY, at :00 and :30 from VT). Information about the ferry and the replacement can be found on the New York State DOT website.
Our recommended land route is to take Exit 20 off of I-87 onto NY 149. Follow NY 149 to US Rte 4 East which will bring you to Fair Haven, VT. Pick up VT Rte 22A north to Vergennes and pick up US Rte 7 north to Burlington. Take I-189 to I-89 South to exit 10 and follow “From I-89 coming north or out of Burlington” directions. This is the most direct route, but please enjoy any scenic detours you want to take!

From I-89 coming north or out of Burlington, take Exit 10 (VT Rte 100, Waterbury/Stowe) and follow VT Rte 100 north through Morrisville. (VT Rte 100 makes several turns through Morrisville, so watch signs carefully). Turn left at the traffic light (intersection with VT Rte 15) and follow VT Rte 100/15 approximately 2 miles. Turn right on Fitch Hill Road. The inn is ¼ mile up the road on the right.

To reach I-89 from the Burlington Airport, turn left (south) onto Airport Drive, turn right (west) onto US 2 and follow it to I-89. Cross the interstate bridge and take a right onto I-89 south.

From I-89 coming south from Canada, take Exit 18 and follow US 7 south to VT Rte 104A. Follow VT Rte 104A to VT Rte 104, then follow VT Rte 104 to VT Rte 15 East through Jeffersonville and Johnson and the flashing yellow light where VT Rte 100 turns north. Turn left at the next road (Fitch Hill Road). The inn is ¼ mile up the road on the right.

From the West, follow VT Rte 15 past the flashing yellow light where VT Rte 100 turns north. Turn left at the next road (Fitch Hill Road). The inn is ¼ mile up the road on the right.

From the East, follow VT Rte 15 approximately two miles past the stoplight at Morrisville where VT Rte 100 joins VT Rte 15. Turn right on Fitch Hill Road. The inn is ¼ mile up the road on the right.
