There is much to do in
Northern Vermont, from touring the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory
in Waterbury Center or the Cabot Creamery in Cabot, to visiting
Stowe Village, Jeffersonville, or Burlington. The inn is close to
Johnson, VT, home of Johnson State College and the Vermont Studio
Center, an artists' retreat. Ski at Stowe Mountain, Smuggler's
Notch, or Jay Peak, go fly fishing, canoeing, or kayaking on the
Lamoille River, or hike the Long Trail. The Shelburne and Fairbanks
Museums are easy driving tours, as are the Mad River Valley, the
Champlain Islands and the Northeast Kingdom. With numerous antique
shops, covered bridges, and art and craft galleries and shops, a
drive through the countryside is an enjoyable adventure. Take in a
game of golf or tennis, visit a water park, take a swim or ice skate
at local indoor facilities, experience a sleigh or carriage ride
through farm and forest, or just enjoy picking out which of the many
local restaurants you will eat at each evening. Whatever the season,
whether you want to be active or relax, there is always plenty to
see and do in this little part of heaven called Vermont.
