Summer Sports & Activities

Summer brings warm days and plenty to do.  Hiking trails open Memorial Day weekend, but street biking starts soon after the snow is gone, and fishing begins in early April, and the Stowe Rec Path is paved so you can climb from the village to the mountain any time!

Long Trail
The Long Trail runs the length of Vermont, connecting with the Appalachian Trail near Killington. It crosses VT Rte 15 east of Johnson.  North of VT Rte 15 is the new foot bridge over the Lamoille River.
